MONTGOMERY COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATE- 110 Positive Cases
MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management, can confirm there are now 110 positive cases of COVID-19, up 17 cases from yesterday. We do have some good news to share regarding our Case # 1, who has been hospitalized in critical condition since early March. He is improving and is now in fair condition, according to the hospital where he is being treated. As we mentioned in an earlier release today, we have confirmed two deaths from the virus. With heavy hearts, we offer our condolences to these families.

Tide offers free laundry services to front line responders in Houston 03-31-20
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Tide is offering free laundry service to the families of front-line responders.
Until April 30, the well-known laundry detergent company announced its services will be available in Houston, Phoenix and Indianapolis.
While front line responders are doing everything to keep everyone safe in the midst of the pandemic, at times many of their family's needs are not being taken care of.
The way it works is that you take your garments in a bag to any of their Houston locations and they will take it from there. Depending on the demand, the turnaround time laundry and dry cleaning is two days.
In order to receive the service, front line responders and their immediate family must show a photo ID from the front-line responders' place of employment.
The company said COVID-19 exposed clothing, leathers, wedding dresses, alterations and select household items will not be accepted.

Effective March 30th Tide Cleaners and the Tide brand are mobilizing Tide Loads of Hope powered by Tide Cleaners to provide free laundry and dry cleaning to the immediate Family of Front Line Responders Medical (Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Hospital and Medical Staff, Medical Researchers), Police Officers, Fire Fighters. This offer is effective March 30, 2020 through April 30, 2020. We will continually evaluate the duration of this offer.
Front Line Responders – defined as Medical (Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Hospital and Medical Staff, Medical Researchers), Police Officers, Fire Fighters. Immediate Family defined as next of kin (e.g. share same household / address).
Procedure for Identification – Front Line Responders and Front Line Responders’ immediate family as proven by a photo identification from the Front Line Responders’ place of employment (e.g. Police Officer ID not the Police Officer’s driver’s license) or an image (e.g. picture of the Front Line Responders Photo ID on a phone) of the ID. Please share through closed window or text message image to Guest Services Representative. Please feel free to include a copy of your form of identification in clothing bag also.
How to bring in clothing - We request that all Front-Line Responders and Family members separate dry cleaning from laundry before you come to Tide Cleaners – keeping dry cleaning and laundry separate will significantly help our ability to fulfill cleaning quickly. Please bring your garments in a bag, a standard trash bag is acceptable. Limit of four (13 gallon) bags per household per week. Feel free to put name, phone number, and email in bag.
Turnaround Time for Clothes – Turnaround time for laundry and dry cleaning is 2 days. Depending on demand, we can and will assess whether we need to modify turnaround time to earlier or later. Tide Cleaners is working to assist as many in need as possible, which could impact turnaround time and capacity. Once we reach capacity, we will let guests know that we are unable to accept any further loads for that day, but they can return the following day to see if they can have their laundry done.
Exclusions – The following items are not accepted and / or included in offer: COVID-19 exposed clothing (e.g. worn while directly treating patients), leathers, wedding dresses, alterations, and select household items.
Limits – At this time we are only able to accept a limit of four (13 gallon) bags per household per week. Once we reach capacity for the site, we will let guests know that we are unable to accept any further loads that day. However, they can return the following day to have their laundry cleaned.
*We are not able to accept garments or linens that are used in the field for hospitals or fire stations. Please refrain from bringing these garments to the store.
