The hiring process, in most cases, begins with the submission of the job application.

A date will be scheduled for the written exam and administered to all applicants. Those applicants that complete and pass the written exam will immediately continue on to the physical agility portion.  Those applicants that successfully pass the physical agility portion will proceed to a scheduled interview by the interview panel.

Should both parties be interested, the department would proceed with completing a background check, driver's license check and verifying any certifications and references that were submitted with the application.
