Community Event Requests
Porter Fire Department enjoys attending community events and teaching the community about fire safety. When attending your event, visitors will be able to meet the firefighters, have a hands-on experience with a fire vehicle, and learn about firefighting tools.
Availability is not guaranteed, and attendance is subject to the weather. If you have an all-day or several-hour event, the fire department may not be able to attend the event for the entire time. Fire Crews will remain in service during the event and may need to respond to an emergency.
It is recommended that Community Events be scheduled at least 4 weeks in advance, although requests can be made at any time. This allows our firefighters to incorporate the visits into their daily inspection and training schedules.
SPACE NEEDED FOR APPARATUS:
- Fire Engine: 40 feet by 30 feet
- Ladder Truck: 60 feet by 30 feet
