Parades
Parade Requests
Porter Fire Department enjoys attending community events. We understand that Parades are an important part of community involvement. If a Parade Map is available, please upload it in the document upload section.
Availability is not guaranteed, and attendance is subject to the weather. If you have an all-day or several-hour event, the fire department may not be able to attend the event for the entire time. Fire Crews will remain in service during the event and may need to respond to an emergency.
It is recommended that Parades be scheduled at least 4 weeks in advance, although requests can be made at any time. This allows our firefighters to incorporate the event into their daily inspection and training schedules.
SPACE NEEDED FOR APPARATUS LINE UP:
- Fire Engine: 40 feet
- Ladder Truck: 60 feet
